TL;DR

🔧 Patch notes and official CIG announcements

Nothing new on the patch notes front: Live remains on Alpha 4.10.1 (build 12650677), while the PTU continues on Alpha 4.10.2 Wave 1 (build 12770507), opened the day before yesterday with its tech preview of TTK/TTD rebalancing, the fourth iteration of this work (TP4). The testing weekend is in full swing: on Spectrum, TTK PV #4 - time to just send it? sums up the mood of part of the testers, fairly convinced that this corrected version is ripe for a Live rollout after the troubles of the previous iteration (TP3), cited as guilty of accidentally doubling shield health.

Videos from Cpt_Foxyloxy and Infinite Space, detailed further down in the videos section, dig into this same work with concrete time-to-kill measurements and an overview of the build's combat changes, without any of these reports calling into question the schedule announced by CIG.

💬 Spectrum: summary of most discussed topics

The general forum keeps the grating tone of the past few days, only worse: frustration now expresses itself frontally, between open anger and threats of abandonment, against a backdrop of cargo bugs and server queues that never end. No official CIG responses were found on today's hottest threads.

Anger rising, between unlimited PVP and exhaustion

I am really trying hard - but my anger is rising continously (98 votes, 35 replies) puts blunt words to cumulative frustration, not targeting any specific bug but the buildup of small annoyances that eventually wear down patience. In similar vein, PVP or Seal Clubbing... I'm almost done with this project because of it. (71 votes, 103 replies) tells how well-equipped players come hunting defenseless targets in zones that should remain peaceful, to the point of making its author doubt continuing to invest time in the game. In the background, the debate launched two days ago on armor art direction (Please be a little more realistic) continues to grow, now with over 200 votes and 163 replies: it's no longer really a separate topic, but a symptom of broader exhaustion running through the entire forum today.

Cargo and bugs: the grinding mechanic, and it annoys

Cargo-system bugs are converting gameplay into troubleshooting and making engaged players stop playing (34 votes) documents a litany of freight handling blockers that turn a simple delivery into a troubleshooting session. More radical, Let's get rid of physicalized cargo proposes outright abandoning crate physicalization until reliability is on par. The case extends even to bug report handling itself with Council Says It's Not a Bug : What Say You? (10 votes), where the author contests the Issue Council's classification of a problem, deemed too lenient.

Security and immersion: Stanton deemed too permissive

No Security For Stanton. (16 votes) regrets the near-total absence of security force response in the system, a void that leaves the field open to the behaviors described above by seal-clubbing victims. A Reddit post from today (see below) makes exactly the same observation from a hauler's perspective.

Life support: still without official answer

The thread on life support systems, documenting oxygen and temperature simulation deemed broken on many ships, continues to grow (46 votes, 47 replies, over 1200 views). The beginning of a CIG designer response mentioned yesterday has yet to materialize into an announcement or fix: the topic remains open.

And also, in brief

Other threads occupy the forum without dominating discussions: Video content needs consistency not being "reinvented" every year (30 votes) criticizes CIG's official video formats as changing too much year to year, Small delivery missions are great! brings a rare positive note on short delivery missions, and Still feels like SC 1.0 is going to be years away despite SQ42 2027 speculates, without any official confirmation, on the gap that might persist between Squadron 42's release and the persistent game's 1.0 version.

💬 Reddit r/starcitizen (by theme, general sentiment)

General sentiment follows that of Spectrum, but with more breathing room: between a serious call to fix the game's foundations and a flood of screenshots and jokes, the subreddit remains capable of a lighter tone than the official forum on the same irritants.

"Fix the foundations before adding content"

The game doesn't need more content, it needs to fix foundational problems first. compares the game to a luxury penthouse whose plumbing and electricity regularly fail: unique features are useless if the basics don't hold. The post echoes, almost word for word, the wave of frustration observed today on Spectrum (rising anger, cargo that bugs out). In the same spirit, 4 days in a row now.... documents twenty-minute server queues repeated several days in a row before you can even leave a station, a further sign, according to its author, that server maintenance is struggling to keep up.

Cargo: the mechanic that bugs, the comedy that remains

In direct echo to today's Spectrum thread on cargo bugs, Happy hauling with Schrödinger's cargo module pokes fun at a freight module that seems to exist and not exist at the same time. In a more concerned register, Modules still not working on the apollo. That prommise allot for the Gallaxy comming out later this year. notes that Apollo modules remain non-functional and worries, according to its own forecast (nothing official at this stage), that the same problem will hit the RSI Galaxy if its release does happen this year.

Griefing and security: direct echo with Spectrum

First run-in with a griefer whist hauling tells of being chased by a light fighter just after takeoff, on a route previously always peaceful. The account directly overlaps with the finding in Spectrum thread No Security For Stanton. cited above: two distinct publications, one shared sentiment of a system without a safety net.

VR and build features tested live

First Look - VR Zoom & Scopes Added To 4.10.2 shows the new VR zoom function introduced in PTU 4.10.2 (precision aiming, hands-free mode for mining) in images, a feature already detailed in patch notes and that the community is just beginning to test concretely.

The wishlist continues to grow

Several suggestions animate the day: Armor lockers? 🥺 calls for dedicated outfit storage space, XL hangars at all stations! Just like in Nyx. would like to generalize extra-large hangars to all stations, and Been playing Blackflag recently. I'm hoping to see NPC traffic in SC one day so we can rob the shit out of them dreams aloud of NPC merchant traffic to plunder, inspired by another piracy game.

XL hangars at all stations! Just like in Nyx. An extra-large hangar at Nyx, cited as an example for rollout to all stations, posted 09/27.

Ships and equipment, the community advises each other

Fitting questions and ship choices remain a weekend classic: Ace-Pilot hunt and a Vanguard Sentinel? Loadout question wavers between stealth and raw power for ace-pilot hunting, I have a little over 7mil what heavy fighter ship should I work for? seeks a heavy fighter able to melt opponents, and Carrack vs ironclad assault weighs the pros and cons between nostalgia and versatility for expanding an already well-stocked fleet. In a more contemplative register, [Someday, I'll have you real in my fleet =' confides a persistent attraction to the Ironclad Assault, kept as a simple memory in the fleet manager since the recent Ship Showdown vote, without any official results from this contest to report here.

Curiosities, nostalgia and ship showcases

In a lighter tone, What is your favorite original concept painting, and why? brings up memories of concept paintings among the very first ships imagined for the game, while Had to pick up the Haul from Endor has fun with a Orison aid contract that sent its author to a location called Endor, a playful nod to the forest moon from the Star Wars saga. Drake Drill N' Haul Inc. showcases an entire fleet dedicated to mining and hauling with Drake manufacturer, and What ship is your "Shit I forgot the ship I actually wanted somewhere else" ship? launches an amused discussion about those secondary ships you use by default for lack of having the right one on hand. On bugs that make you smile rather than rage, This is supposed to be an Anvil Spartan. Wut? shows a ground vehicle that came out of its hangar completely misshapen, without wheels or body, and Do You Think It'll Buff Out? shares a ship wreck method-acting the ambient chaos. Finally, Where do you wear the undersuit pokes fun at the sometimes absurd logic of gear layering, and Wife made me a shirt for my 30th shares a handmade birthday gift in the game's colors, proof that the community extends far beyond the game itself.

This is supposed to be an Anvil Spartan. Wut? An Anvil Spartan that came out of its hangar without wheels or body, posted 09/27.

Damn... She's thick... An Idris parked next to a Clipper, a Polaris and a Tiburon to give a sense of its size, posted 09/27.
