🔧 Patch notes and official CIG announcements
After the lull observed on Monday, CIG published a new Alpha 4.10.3 PTU build on Tuesday evening, marked "All Backers" (version 4.10.3-PTU.13093654), which now opens testing to all players with PTU access. The official test focus further confirms that IAE is being handled "on an accelerated timeline", in addition to usual stability work and fixes.
Features & Updates
- LBCO Skarnov Rifle: ammunition for this new weapon now appears correctly in loot and is associated with the weapon it belongs to.
- Esperia Prowler: added dedicated interaction to open Prowler Utility cargo door.
Bug Fixes & Technical
CIG confirms it has further strengthened technical work on personal hangar overlap and invites players to report if they continue to encounter the issue. The list of potential fixes in this build:
- Visual overlap of personal hangars, which allowed seeing parts of other hangars and the vehicles they contain.
- Multiple PvP law enforcement contracts offered simultaneously instead of one.
- Vanduul voice lines not triggering during Vanduul incursion contracts.
- Placeholder displaying instead of actual Shattered Blade raid location in mobiGlas.
- Tactical Strike Group radio call triggering instead of correct line when accepting boarding contract.
- Organic surfaces appearing striped or smudged, in both Vulkan and DX11.
- Placeholder displaying instead of mission location for Mauler Takedown and Retake Ship contracts.
- Missing collision on certain surface buildings at ArcCorp.
- Item prices misaligned or offset on AR purchase maps, depending on viewing angle.
- Client crash caused by Drake Cutter front landing gear.
- Client crash caused by missing impact effects library on Pulverizer LMG ammunition.

RSI Launcher 2.19.1
CIG also published version 2.19.1 of the RSI Launcher. Main updates:
- New download panel: header popover now displays ongoing installation (version, channel, step-by-step progress, pause/resume/cancel, network usage, disk, CPU and memory).
- Shader compilation (optional step): at the end of an installation or update, the game can now compile its shader cache before entering, or the player can launch the game immediately and let compilation finish at next launch. This step can take 7 to over 30 minutes depending on the machine, and only works fully starting with game version 4.10.3.
- New settings to delete or compile shaders from launcher settings.
- Improved data patcher: smoother progress reporting, verification pass that repeats until files are clean, more detailed error information, and dedicated dialog if disk is full during download.
- Guidance system presence status is now synchronized between launcher and website.
On the fixes side: the download panel now only redraws values that change (less load on interface during installations), and launcher no longer mutes or minimizes before displaying "already running" message on double launch.

November Subscriber Promotions
CIG published November 2026 Subscriber Promotions, on a Xi'an theme:
- In-game flair: Li'tova Meditation T-shirt (Centurion), Hyaoklo Meditation Focus (Imperator), Xi'an Calm Set reserved for subscriber shop.
- Ships of the month: AOPOA Khartu-al (Centurion), GATAC Railen and AOPOA Khartu-al (Imperator).
Clarification on Gifting Ships Recovered via Buy Back Tool
CIG updated its Ship Gifting FAQ: recovering a pledge via the Buy Back Tool restores the same gifting status that pledge had when it was deposited. Concretely, a pledge purchased before October 30, 2026 and eligible for gifting remains giftable via the historical gifting system after recovery, including via Buy Back Tool. Conversely, a pledge purchased after October 30, 2026 and recovered via Buy Back Tool remains non-giftable, gifting must then go through the pledge shop. Pledges purchased with store credit remain, as before, excluded from all gifting, and CIG reminds that the recovery queue should not serve as "storage" for pledges to gift later.

💬 Spectrum: synthesis of most discussed topics
After the wave of concerns about CIG's communication silence analyzed in the previous edition, the general forum settles today on more pragmatic subjects: a useful bug workaround, a debate on loading the Ironclad Assault, and a deliberately optimistic note. No CIG intervention to report on these threads.
The most followed thread of the day, Bug Work Around - Ship Retrieval Button (45 votes, 23 replies), shares a method to work around a bug with the ship retrieval button at ASOP. In echo with enthusiasm displayed on Reddit for the Ironclad Assault (see below), Ironclad full laden is trash significantly tempers the enthusiasm by pointing out handling deemed calamitous once the ship is loaded to full capacity. Finally, Reasons to be cheerful offers a more positive counterpoint to concerns raised the day before about CIG's communication pace.
💬 Reddit r/starcitizen (by theme, general sentiment)
The subreddit is living today at the pace of CIG's small attentions (gifting FAQ, subscriber gifts) and the approach of IAE, between curiosity for upcoming ships and anecdotes of daily life in the verse. The echo with Spectrum is limited to the Ironclad Assault, praised here and criticized there for its handling once loaded: the rest of the thread keeps its own register, more visual and personal.
IAE approaching: ships and liveries
Tetra over Pyro V shares a screenshot of the M80 in Tetra livery flying over Pyro V, its author eager to discover the future IAE livery for this ship. On the Liberator, still far from being playable, Updated Anvil Liberator Holomodel (via d.w.) details the updated display model (123.40 m long, 68.72 m wide, two point defense turrets), information cross-referenced by datamining of the 4.10.3 build (see Leaks section). The prospect of seeing this carrier arrive already worries some: How will it be possible to remove abandoned ships from Liberator or Kraken pads? wonders about managing abandoned ships that could block its docking platforms. On the Ironclad Assault, Ironclad Assault - What a ship sings praises for its modularity and load capacity (a Nursa, a Golem, a Cyclone, a Dragonfly, two mechs, a stealth fighter and 720 SCU of cargo), enthusiasm to be tempered with the significantly more mixed feedback shared on Spectrum once the ship is actually loaded. On more classical questions, Constellation Mk V Centaurus as a daily driver? questions daily use of this ship given its high retrieval cost, and RSI Aurora Mkii - Cross Section proposes a cross-section illustration of the historical series starter ship.

Subscriber gifts and gifting FAQ
Monthly gifts occupy a good part of conversations: Cool floaty thingy for subs and Subscribers received a new trinket show the new meditation item given to subscribers announced officially this month (see above), while The print on the new Xi'an T-shirt details and translates the Xi'an inscription printed on the new t-shirt. On a more practical level, Recovering a pledge via the Buy Back Tool will recover a pledge with the same giftable status of the previously reclaimed pledge takes on CIG's clarification regarding gifting status of recovered ships (see Patch notes section).

Launcher and PTU: players test new features
RSI Launcher 2.19.1 Release Notes - shader compilation added and more relays the official announcement of the new launcher version detailed above, and Additional context in RSI launcher 2.19.1 concretely illustrates the new context window appearing during an update. On 4.10.3 PTU, Assets tab working in PTU reports that a long finicky tab finally works correctly.
Mining, salvage and economy
Galaxy Refinery Module.. hopes to finally see the long-awaited refinery module arrive for miners, willing to accept it imperfect rather than wait another year. Whoever did it ... Thank you ! thanks with relief a change that allows, while waiting for Maelstrom, not having to completely dismantle a 550+ SCU Polaris wreck. More down to earth, Non-Warbond Ship Prices offers a comparative table of non-warbond ship prices, useful for those planning purchases before IAE.
Anecdotes and verse life
Between amusing screenshots like Guess I'm with the Vanduul now or NPCs did not have safety briefings, the subreddit keeps space for emotion: Took my son, and new copilot, out for his first flight training. He loved the turret views. tells a particularly successful first family outing, and why we play. shares a photo of the night sky (Moon, Jupiter, Mars visible to the naked eye) that reignited the exploration spirit in its author. To close on a more practical note, Took a while but the Polaris is loaded. details a complete and methodical loading of the cruiser, and Some say Star Citizen is boring... I guess im doing it wrong. illustrates, in its own way, the attachment that the game creates in its most invested players.
🕵️ Leaks & Datamining
Unofficial content from community datamining: subject to change, never confirmed by CIG.
Leak channels were particularly active around the new 4.10.3 PTU build (13093654) and the design of the upcoming IAE.
An AI Assistant to Guide IAE Visitors
Datamining of the build reveals the presence of a "Guide", a voice assistant based on AI that invites players at the exhibition to select a ship manufacturer to get an oral presentation. An old voice line was spotted as a simple example of the type of content this system could produce: example AI assistant voice line (audio file).
Salvage Generously Revised on Five Dedicated Ships
Still in this build, datamining notes a significant expansion of fracture and disintegration fields (larger and requiring less precision to remain effective), as well as revised salvage buffer capacity increased across all five discipline ships:
- Reclaimer: field distance forward range from 50 to 200 m, lateral distance from 40 to 90 m, salvage buffer raised from 240 to 448 SCU.
- Moth: field distance forward range from 50 to 80 m, lateral distance from 40 to 45 m, salvage buffer raised from 64 to 240 SCU.
- Vulture: field distance forward range from 20 to 70 m, lateral distance from 10 to 40 m, salvage buffer raised from 13 to 16 SCU.
- Fortune: field distance forward range from 20 to 60 m, lateral distance from 10 to 30 m, salvage buffer raised from 13 to 14 SCU.
- Salvation: field distance forward range from 20 to 50 m, lateral distance from 10 to 30 m, salvage buffer raised from 6 to 8 SCU.
The Liberator, still far from being playable, sees its display model (holoviewer) updated, with a 3D model viewable online:

Entire Luminalia 2956 Collection Unveiled
Datamining also pulled the entire set of objects planned for Luminalia 2956 festivities: a Coda pistol and Lumin V SMG in "Piconalia" edition adorned with Pico the penguin, a matching green SRT Cambio, an Emoto "Luminalia" Dashbot companion robot with gold finish and snowflake motifs, a Banu Kamba knife with dark blade and gold inlays, a pop-up greeting card featuring Pico, as well as two series of seasonal liveries (IceBreak in white and blue, Deck the Hull in green and red) for the Aurora Mk II, Hurricane, Banu Defender and RAFT.

Also worth noting: an animation of Pico pop-up greeting card (video) and the image of the Luminalia gift box.
Year-End Rewards: Caution on "Best in Show"
Datamining also mentions "Best in Show 2956" rewards: a white and gray livery with gold accents would be planned for the RSI Perseus, described in game file text as celebrating its "victory" in the competition, with similar variations for the Origin M80, Drake Ironclad Assault and Drake Corsair. This is reward text extracted from game files, not an announcement of actual results: no official communication has confirmed to date the true winner of this competition, so caution remains warranted on this point.
Still on Squadron 42, files reveal a collectible display model of the Aegis Idris-M, a WowBlast Desperado toy gun in F7C Hornet colors, and a Pico penguin plush dressed as a Squadron 42 pilot. Finally, new "random" liveries were spotted for the RSI Perseus (Arenosa, Shoreline Camo, Mariner Camo, Aftermath, Adamantine) and Argo Moth (Braken, Stargazer, Downrush, Skylight).
