Alpha 4.10.3 PTU All Waves: Vanduul reworked, Skarnov rebalanced, six fixes (October 31, 2026)
PTU 4.10.3 opens to all waves of testers with a new build. It reworks the Vanduul Incursion missions, rebalances the LBCO Skarnov rifle and fixes six bugs, while datamine work already shows the Mauler's Igniter damage per second being halved.
In the Alpha 4.10.3 PTU patch notes, CIG announces that the version, until now reserved for Wave 1, moves to All Waves. The Live server remains on Alpha 4.10.2. Compared with the Wave 1 build of October 29, which mainly strengthened Vanduul weaponry, this new build adjusts the Vanduul Incursion missions, reworks the LBCO Skarnov rifle and addresses six issues.
Vanduul Incursion: a new AI pass
The Vanduul Incursion missions, introduced in Wave 1, receive several changes:
- Incursion site AI: a new pass applies three distinct attack layers and corridor routing designed to spread out defenders. Loot has also been revised.
- Vanduul: players can no longer stun them or grab them with the tractor beam. Their armor now loads correctly, whereas NPCs appeared without it.
- Mauler: its hit points are reduced, in exchange for higher weapon damage.
- Cryopods: only one blue Vanduul cryopod now appears per site.
- Ambience: the space combat music from Welcome To Nyx plays during clashes with the Vanduul.
- Contracts: the Eliminate Specific contract text is revised and the Neutralize Boss objective becomes Neutralize Target. Quantum travel to the Shattered Blade Raid sites works, and reward blueprints are correctly granted at the end of the mission.
- Economy: an additional balancing pass is applied to contract missions.
LBCO Skarnov rifle: triple damage, lighter weapon
The Skarnov, introduced in Wave 1, changes its profile noticeably:
- energy damage per shot rises from 10 to 30;
- electric chain range goes from 3.8 m to 7.5 m;
- weapon mass goes from 4.9 to 2.9 kg, magazine from 1.12 to 1.05 kg;
- recoil is slightly reduced in rapid fire mode.
The notes also fix an inconsistent damage floor. When projectile velocity was lost, it was set to 30 energy even though base damage was only 10. It is now 20 for a base of 30, and the redundant distortion and stun floors are removed.
Two technical defects are also fixed. The ten audio triggers for the firing sound were empty strings, so the weapon produced no report, indoors or outdoors. They are now filled in. The barrel mount port mistakenly accepted only ballistic barrels and now accepts energy barrels, as intended.
Six fixes and a new loading screen
The build addresses six issues:
- The Collector introduction contract did not appear in the contract manager, which blocked the entire mission line.
- Automatic landing did not validate the "Land at LEO" objective in Part 3 of the new player route.
- A failed store purchase could time out and then block any new attempt until a server change.
- mobiGlas landing services could get stuck on the "Processing" or "Blocked" statuses.
- A large quantity of duplicate cargo could appear in the freight elevator after a Recover Cargo contract.
- Hostile AIs in bounty and mercenary contracts could stop firing back. They now return to SCM mode as soon as an interception ends.
The 4.10.3 loading screen also receives a new visual.
The Mauler already in the sights of dataminers
The following point is not official. According to dataminers who analyzed the All Waves build, the Vanduul Mauler's Igniter (size 9) damage per second reportedly dropped from 55,000 to 27,500, a halving. CIG has confirmed nothing on this, and these figures may still change. The official notes only state that the Mauler's hit points go down and its weapon damage goes up, without quantifying these changes.
Background
PTU 4.10.3 opened in Wave 1 around October 24, with the Vanduul Incursion missions at Nyx and the Skarnov rifle. On October 29, a Wave 1 build had strengthened Mauler armament and added a particle light to the Skarnov's secondary fire, with a magazine set at 30 rounds. Dataminers then put the Igniter at 55,000 damage per second versus 15,000 before, and the Annihilator at 200,000 versus 15,000.
What we still don't know
It is unknown whether the Igniter reduction will be confirmed in official notes, and what happens to the Striker (size 6) and Annihilator (size 10), for which no figure from the All Waves build is known. The next signal to watch is the next PTU build and its patch notes.
