Alpha 4.10.3: Intersec Defence Solutions missions at Nyx face the Vanduul threat (October 22, 2026)

In the October 21 Roadmap Roundup, CIG made two moves on the Release View of its roadmap. A new mission pack for Intersec Defence Solutions has entered Committed status for Alpha 4.10.3. The character customizer eyebrow update, meanwhile, is now marked Released on Alpha 4.10.2, the version currently Live.

An Intersec Defence Solutions pack committed for 4.10.3

According to CIG, this pack will expand Intersec Defence Solutions contracts at Nyx. The new missions are centered on the Vanduul threat, which is described as growing, and come with new plans to unlock.

The Roadmap Roundup does not, however, give a release date for this version, a detailed list of missions, or the exact nature of the plans to be obtained.

Eyebrows move to Released on 4.10.2

The second move concerns the character customizer. Three new eyebrow styles are added, and six existing styles receive a visual refresh. The whole set officially moves to Released on Alpha 4.10.2.

This move to Released closes a task already mentioned. The Art (Characters) team had listed updated eyebrows for the customizer among its 4.10.2 work, in the Monthly Report de septembre.

A Spectrum thread not to over-interpret

A Spectrum thread, Cargo Mission - Retrieve "Supplies" from Shuttered ASD Facilities, describes a retrieval mission in abandoned facilities. Nothing allows us to say that it belongs to the pack announced for 4.10.3. CIG makes no connection in the Roadmap Roundup, and no official response has been noted on this thread.

Context

The publication of this Roadmap Roundup had been postponed. In This Week in Star Citizen, CIG had indicated that the Roadmap Update et la Roadmap Roundup would only arrive after the Live release of Alpha 4.10.2. The weekly schedule, published on October 20, placed both publications on Wednesday, October 21, the launch day of Day of the Vara 2956.

The Live version remains 4.10.2, and the HOTFIX channel has been closed since the October 17 stabilization.

Nyx is also a recurring thread in CIG's work. In the September Monthly Report, the Narrative team mentioned several upcoming mission packs, including many contracts tied to the release of Nyx I, as well as the development of new InterSec contracts for mercenary-oriented players. The roadmap does not explicitly say whether the now-committed pack belongs to the same effort.

Also, the Roadmap Roundup du 9 octobre assigned the DGS Planet Subdivision to Alpha 4.11, with Nyx I as the first planet concerned, along with an update to the Nyx I, II and III maps. The Intersec Defence Solutions pack would therefore arrive before that deadline, since it is planned for 4.10.3.

What we still don't know

Several points remain without an official answer:

• the release date of Alpha 4.10.3 and whether it will go through the PTU or the Evocati;
• the number of missions in the pack, their precise locations at Nyx, and their access conditions;
• the nature of the plans to be unlocked;
• the exact role of the Vanduul in these contracts, which is not detailed;
• any link to the ASD mission seen on Spectrum, not established at this stage.

The next signal to watch is the next Roadmap Roundup, which will show whether the pack stays Committed for 4.10.3 or changes status. The 4.10.3 patch notes, when published, will specify what is actually delivered.
